Free Pattern -- The Coco Bag
Something Tailored for Spring!
I designed this simple pattern for knitters who are looking for a crisper look in a rectangle, pleat-top handbag. The base is firmer, the transition from base to body is neater and the contrasting colors give a more tailored finish. It is a collection of tips and ideas from knitting/felting colleagues.
Finished size is about 10 inches across and 11 inches tall.

The balloon bag is so cute! And, I like the coco bag, too. However, I've tried to download the little coco pattern several times and I keep getting an error. Can you help?
I don't know why the PDF wont download for some of you. I am investigating . . .
A KR compatriot suggested: "I am using Windows XP Pro and was able to view the PDFs just fine, so that's not the issue. You might suggest that Windows users right click on the link and select "Save Target As" if they are having trouble."
And you might try to download the newest version of Acrobat Reader here:

Hope this helps!
I'm also using Windows XP Pro and Adobe 7.0.7 (in fact I just updated it the other day.)
I was able to download it by right clicking and "save target as." However, upon attempting to open it I get a warning message that says that the file is damaged and that Adobe Reader is unable to open it. I just wanted to make you aware of the problem.
I got it! Just tried one more time by clicking the link...it took a while, but it downloaded just fine!
thanks...
Love your purses! Could you post approximate finished sizes of your bags. I know with felting and substitution of yarns they won't be exact, but they'll give us an idea if they're even close to the size we want to make.
Thanks, Shelly

Thank you for this lovely bag.
It was my first felting project and I love it.
Special thanks from Germany

My friend made The Coco bag and it is spectacular! I would love to make it but I would like to crochet it. Can anyone help me adapt the pattern for crochet?
